Nandigram Result: ‘Returning Officer Wrote His Life Would Be Under Threat If He Allows Recounting,’ Mamata Banerjee Claims

I struggled for Nandigram because I fought a movement. It’s ok. Let the Nandigram people give whatever verdict they want, I accept that,": West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was quoted as saying.</p> <p>However, Banerjee had alleged that manipulations were done in Nandigram counting. She said, "accept the verdict. But I will move the Court because I have information that after the declaration of results there were some manipulations done and I will reveal those."</p> <p>In an exclusive conversation with ABP Ananda Editor, Banerjee told her party will approach the election commission and press for recounting of votes.&nbsp;</p> <p>Meanwhile, on the Covid front, the West Bengal CM has declared journalists as "Covid warriors" and revealed that the state government is requesting Centre to sanction Rs 30,000 crores for a universal vaccine for all throughout the country. "I came to know that they’re sending maximum vaccines and oxygen to 2-3 states," she claimed.</p> <p>Mamata Banerjee is likely to submit her resignation at 7 pm this evening and the date for her swearing-in may be revealed at that time.</p>
