Chandigarh Corona Guidelines: Locals To Undergo Night Curfew From 10 PM to 5 AM, Check Details Here

<p><strong>Chandigarh:</strong> As Punjab continues to witness an alarming spike in Coronavirus cases, the Chandigarh administration on Tuesday announced a night curfew in the city which will be enforced from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.</p> <p>The night curfew will be imposed from tomorrow i.e. Wednesday. Singh Badnore, who is also the Administrator of Chandigarh, announced the decision at a high-level meeting chaired by him.</p> <p>People have been warned to abide by these guidelines, or else the administration can also go on to impose a weekend curfew.</p> <p>India on Monday recorded 1,03,558 new coronavirus cases which is the highest single-day tally since the Covid outbreak in the country.</p> <p>Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab are the states showing a spike in the daily new cases.</p> <p>The Central Government has rushed 50 high-level multi-disciplinary public health teams to 50 districts across Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab in view of the alarming surge in daily new Covid-19 cases and the daily fatalities being reported by these States.</p> <p>Meanwhile, the Chandigarh police have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the night curfew.</p> <p>Stricter measures like weekend curfew and closure of Apni Mandis and other crowded places will be considered if the residents fail to follow the required Covid-19 protocols.</p>...
